With a successful existing Smith City brand already, the new sister brand - Smiths Trade Outlet - needed to balance familiarity with a new trade-based audience. To do this we pulled on the exiting visual cues and colours but created an identity more suited to the straight-up, promotional and price driven nature of the audience.

The Smiths Trade Outlet brand offers a completely differentiated store model that no one in the market is doing.  For property developers, landlords and tradies looking for quick, easy, and cost-effective solutions (without compromising on quality) - Smiths Trade Outlet is a one-stop home furnishing shop with a huge range of discounted quality products enabling customers to get the best value in town. 

'Quality goods, priced to go' means the Smiths customers can simply pick their goods off the shelf and drive away the same day – a good deal any way you look at it. The design system and identity referenced the simplicity and ease of this process, whilst the copywriting style maintained Smiths cheeky tone of voice for maximum impact.
