A refreshed brand and messaging were just the ticket to really get sales cooking for Award Appliances.

Looking to appeal to customers searching for affordably priced, high quality products, we set about helping Award refresh not only their logo, but to start really telling the story behind their brand.

The strategy

Providing European-manufactured products into the local market since 1946, Award has traditionally relied on large retailers to do the selling.  When objectives changed and the company needed to appeal directly to customers in the ‘value’ segment, they turned to Q for branding and messaging development.

We created a profile of Award’s customers, who typically love cooking, family and entertaining, and want a reliable, dependable brand.  They are looking for products which will perform and last, without being over-indulgent. 

The design

The friendly, household brand we created for Award Appliances was not only aspirational, but contained an aspect of realism to achieve the brand’s down-to-earth, fresh, modern and distinctive feel.

Q carried the new logo and brand identity through to full creative and retail execution, with the final campaign running across online, TV and magazine.
