The impression of print. Often understated, here was a golden opportunity to highlight the diversity of this specialist industry.

For Kiwi Labels, a well-established printing business looking to expand its market and product range, the tone, visual execution and techniques used in printed collateral is the essence of what they are about. We set about bringing that to the surface.

The strategy

Kiwi Labels wanted to make their presence felt in a growing New Zealand market - that of boutique wineries, craft brewers and craft food manufacturers.  Following the purchase of specialised label machinery that combines off-set print with digital, Kiwi Labels began to take a greater role in helping boutique brands create their personality.

Wanting to let the product do the talking, we needed to showcase Kiwi Labels’ print techniques in an elegant and exclusive sales piece.

This stylish coffee table booklet not only presents Kiwi Labels as premium and memorable, but it demonstrates first hand all the specialised techniques which can be printed as customers’ labels.

The design

With bold use of colour, showcasing each distinctive printing technique within Kiwi Labels’ repertoire, we created an oversize booklet, allowing customers to touch and feel the techniques they could use, first hand.

The beautiful, tactile booklet was not only a visually unique sales piece, it was practical too.  The bright cover sleeve was designed to protect the booklets as they travelled the country in the back of the sales team’s car.
