The Tannery Branding

Boutique beauty in a historical setting. The Tannery, now an exceptional shopping destination, deserved a look which reflected its journey from 1900s industrialism to contemporary chic.

This brief for this project was simple - showcase this unique retail development which was almost “built by hand,” designed and inspired by an innovative vision.

The design

The craftsmanship and authenticity apparent throughout The Tannery pay respect to the heritage and buildings of the 1900s era.

Located alongside the historic Heathcote River, the restored Tannery possesses an architectural history synonymous with the late 1800s and early 1900s – the saw-tooth roofline.

Q drew on this history and architectural significance in our design development. The logotype pays homage to these elements from the past, but with a contemporary feel, integrating the saw-tooth rooflines within the logo in a simple and stylish form.
